Re: Wanted/Offering CPU parts
Alright so, Psychonitrous said that he would donate these parts to me:
Motherboard:
GA-MA790FX-DS5 (BIOS updated to F7)
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...d=2694&dl=1#ov
Ram:
2x (1GB Sticks of GSkill DDR2 PC2-6400)
500 Watt PSU
This sets me up for a new processor, which is the main thing I need upgraded. So, anyone have a spare AMD processor laying around? Or vid card?

Re: Wanted/Offering CPU parts
Well, the 650W PSU I had laying around isn't laying around anymore and is part of my new build. But since I've got a new pc now, my previous video card might be freed up. Its an EVGA 8800GT with a Zalman VF900 aftermarket HSF on it. Your mobo has the slots for it. An 8800 has a max power consumption around 115-120W, so with your pc components you should be okay with the 500W PSU. You'll need a 6-pin power connector for the 8800 though. What is the brand/model of the PSU?
I'm donating my previous pc to my parents, so I'll pull the 8800 out and slap my old 7900 GT cards in there for them instead. Gotta make sure it all works first, I'll let you know.Last edited by nsRaven; 08-16-10 at 11:37 PM.

Re: Wanted/Offering CPU parts
Well, nothing really, I'd just ship it. Unfortunately Laggy, we've been trying to help Stick pull together a newer pc than he's currently got for a while now and now he's posted a request for a card, so if it turns out the 7900's work out as a replacement when I get the old rig back together (it should) then Stick's got dibs on the card if he wants it.
Funny, I was thinking about listing the card in this thread by the end of the week too.

Re: Wanted/Offering CPU parts
I actually should be good on the PSU. I've got a 550w in my current dell that I bought when I got my 7900GS 3-4 years ago for it... It's a Rosewill RP550S-2MK, and has 1 6-pin power slot for PCI-E.
Raven, yes, if everything works out, I would gladly accept your 8800GT. =)
