there is no reason to have 9 gigs of ram..nothing takes over 3 gigs of memory to operate..that is seriously overkill.

Unless you want to run dozens of active processes at once.

For example, playing a computer game in a Vista virtual machine while simultaneously virus scanning and defragmenting your computer. Toss in an instant messanger, xfire, FRAPS, WinAmp, some virtual drives and you can start using all 8 Gigs of RAM

yah but i got 8 gigs for $360 bucks. and im going to get a 9 series when they release. ill just knock $100 off the price i payed and be done with it. and also as soon as newegg gets the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz im going with it. i just cant find a place that has it in stock. 45nm and 6mb l2 baby!
