Offical AW 4x4 thread.
Its 3am and i just got home from 4wheelin for 3-4hours tonight. It was an awesome experience through at least 7inches or more of snow and it was an even better test of my truck (2001 ford explorer sport) The 4X4 was strong as i could imagine, i didnt get stuck once the whole truck just hauled ass through everything. Scratched up the paint a little bit im sure due to trees and having to squeeze by them, But at the end of a trail that we made our own path was a lake frozen solid, Walked out onto it looked up and saw the night sky it was a beautiful site to see!!! Unfortunatly i forgot to bring my camera and i have no pictures of the night, but from now on i will make it a must to bring my camera.

Re: Offical AW 4x4 thread.
The bed on my truck is still twisted from some drift smashing 4x4 fun my wife and I had a few years ago. I decided to turn the 4x4 off to show my wife how we wouldnt be going anywhere without it on. We instantly went sideways, hit a patch of ice and got sucked into a deep ditch ,high centered on top of a culvert. Thats what I get for turning it off. A tractor had to pull us out sideways and twisted my bed....Good times good times
Did I say that or was I just thinking it?

I am still building a '61 Willys Wagon that I put on a 1989 waggy frame. It is UGLY! I can't wait to get it done, it will be redneck rampage all over!

my drive train is AMC I6 4.2/258, chevy HEI distributor, Ford MC 351 cfm carburetor, TF727 w/shift kit, D44's spooled and lunch-boxed with a D300 4:01 terra-low transfer under dual wobble-stick...you may run the 1/4, but I'll damn sure crawl it!
If you want to do some 1/4 running, I used to have a daily driver 1967 aircooled bug w/185 hp...13.78 qtr on bridgestone potenzas at 18 lbs....4-cylinder, normally aspirated (bored and stroked) 2178 ccLast edited by Hitch; 01-20-11 at 09:49 PM.
