Okay, reviving dead thread here.

The only way the world would come to an end, would be through a process of steps.
1. America's idiots elect Obama as president. Strike one.
2. Barrack Obama convinces the U.N to sign a peace treaty with Israel.

There's no direct proof of this, but it's said in many books, not saying I totally agree with it, but this is what was said. The U.N strikes a deal and gets Israel to sign the peace treaty, and that's the start of the end of the world. I don't know if it's going to happen, but hey, it's to give those other peoples a look on things.
