TPG needs an ad banner
468 x 60 Banner
728 x 90 Leaderboard
250 x 250 Square
200 x 200 Small Square
336 x 280 Large Rectangle
300 x 250 Inline Rectangle
120 x 600 Skyscraper
160 x 600 Wide Skyscraper
Acceptable formats: .gif, .jpg, .png, .swf
maximum 50k file size
We show ads in a lot of places. With more being added and removed all the time.
So, instead of some shitty text ad....like this one:
let's get something classy. Like the header banners.....but vertical.
Remember.... it must fit the dimensions exactly, and be a maximum 50k file size. Just make something that screams TTP, and conveys a message.
flash ads are fine too, just make sure it supports a "clicktag" (look it up).

So 160 wide 600 tall?
I think I can whip up something, I got alot of work to do still on psychostats stuff today... but I got a rough idea in my noggin.
Is it okay if we add like... a little line here or there, like- "Teamplay gaming done right"?

re: TPG needs an ad banner
First time I've used those pictures... a little dissapointed because in-games and model viewer shots all looked like shit... I figure it'd be easiest to just put up the most recognizable images to each game, though I'm still not going to use the shitty renders with old models and stuff for the other ones.
I might have a space in between each of them having different things typed there like "Constantly growing community", "Teamwork enforced,"... I dunno, stuff like that.
I'll figure something out, just thought I'd post what I've got goin... as well you PR folks I'll see what I can do to include that in this as well.
So, am I doing this right?

Be forewarned that we might get a cease and desist letter if we use other companies' trademarks in our ad. Trademark owners are to some degree willing to overlook their marks appearing on fan sites, but when their marks appear in the commercial realm then they usually show their fangs. That is because to maintain their registered trademark status they have to exercise control over their respective marks.
I'm not saying that Jello's ad shouldn't run. I'm just giving a heads up on what will probably happen if it runs as it is drawn.

re: TPG needs an ad banner
That's true, as the logo is copyrighted as well... as well everything in the game itself I'm sure, I doubt a load screen is any different from sharing a screenshot, though I could be wrong.
I wouldn't be only person in the world to use those images...
Hell, the BF2 images came from a pack EA handed out for download for fansites and junk... I'll look up the terms of use, if there's any, later- same with 2142.

It's cool, but I seriously doubt they'd go after us for using those images.. I see them everywhere, even on Xfire, I don't think there'll be any problem.
I'm not genius to copyright infringement, but I don't think there'll ever really be a problem.

So is this going to be an on going thing where people can submit something throughout the year just to keep getting new ads out there and stuff? Just curious as I'd be willing to try to make something that we wouldn't have to worry about copyright or trademarks, but it might take me awhile to get it done.
