Constructive Criticism Please

I was asked to make a new logo for our troop and came up with this that Ive also adapted as a spray. This one is the more cluttered/complicated one as Ive had to make a few others for T shirts that are pretty much stamp renderings of the main scull and lettering. Thoughts, suggestions?

flames look a bit cheesy and you lose a lot of definition in the skull, not too big on that H either

I had a hard time making realistic flames in photoshop. I see if I can "fatten" them up cause now that you mention it they do look a lot more like graphics than actual flames. Thanks
