Yes I am pretty much stuck with Canon. I have around $1000 invested in lenses and acc's.

He's also spoiled rotten. If my mom goes out of town for a few days, he pouts. Even when she gets back. It's been pretty out lately, I'll see if I can get some more shots.

Like I said, the D40 and Rebel XT are pretty close, and the D40X and XTi are so unbelievable similar, it's just based on which you prefer. And having to reinvest that much green would be silly.

Oh, see, you get into those, and you're talking a whole different level of camera. I can't justify that kind of money for the few pictures I take.

It's nice, in theory. But 12MP on an APS-C camera is a bit silly. Most APS-C lenses can't carry much more than 8MP anyway, after the crop. If you want 12MP your best bet is to go full frame, and spent a lot of money on a camera.

More Macro stuff

I was out dove hunting and the clouds were rolling in from the north in a neat fashion, so I snapped a few shots.

I converted this one to black and white later in photoshop, turned out pretty good I think
