QUAKECON BANNER CONTEST! $200 PRIZE!
TTP is going to need a banner for it's booth at Quakecon: http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?board=164.0
We're going big...super big....so we need it at 100" by 36" at 300DPI. That means 30000w by 10800h in pixels. File format/mode must be in CMYK (not RGB), and saved as a .tif file to prevent loss. We know it's a huge file, so you can simply post scaled down versions in png or jpg or whatever, here. But the winner MUST provide a full size version...which I guess we'll figure out how to transfer later.
Current theme needs to be along the lines of: http://www.texasteamplayers.com/gall...9_12_45_18.png

We'll be using that as a poster, as a tshirt, as a mousepad, as all sorts of stuff. So...your banner needs to "fit in". Keep it simple. Red, black, and white colors only.
Deadline for submission is monday. Host an image in the TTP image gallery in the main menu in the correct dimensions. Of course, you can't host a 30000 pixel wide image here....so resize it to 1000w or less to display.
ok go.

Re: QUAKECON BANNER CONTEST! $100 PRIZE!
that's not going to cut it.
you have to leave some space around the edges of the banner.....some cushion. the TX is too large. And.....I don't know if it's necessary to put the game abbrev's up there at all. maybe the www? maybe something else?

Oh, one more important thing to know is that is will be set against a black velvety backdrop to the booth.

And...make your fonts right.
AND, you don't have to match the whole TX state image/letter concept. Why not your regular soprano looking texas team players red white black stuff?

Ok. I'll try again. The fonts are the same Impact that I always, use, but for some reason PS wants to make them look different when they get bigger. I'll see what I can do about that.

Plus printers tend to like you more when you can provide them with EPS files on request.

we can do EPS..... but at 300DPI, the tiff is good enough. EPS....is just ridiculously huge of a file.
