X-1 is horrified by the proposed nuclear strike. Not only would this desolate a beautiful area of the world, but the mushroom cloud caused by bombing this area would contaminate lands closer to home. Such an action is repulsive to our religion, our morals, and our common sense.

I propose a large task force be used, and will volunteer the use of some of my forces. As it was said, the base is resistant to nuclear blasts, it would be a waste of time and tyrants to take that approach

We have a plan to assault the base. Our sicentists and engineers have brought an old abandoned Military project off of the shelf, and have modified it to fit this purpose.

Called the X43-563, nicknamed "The Suicide Capsule", The idea behind this thing is very simple: It's basically a very strong capsule, designed to punch through up to 5 feet of solid steel, providing a quick and simple way to drop troops into a battle. It's rather incredible that the craft is able to withstand the tremendous forces involved with punching through 5 feet of solid steel, but we have solved this problem with a Reinforced-Diamond hull, massive shock absorbers, and some very fluffy pillows. The idea is that we stuff the capsule full of the most battle hardened commandos, and drop it into the base.

However, for this to work, we need to pull off a dambusters-type raid. The capsule will need to be dropped into an air vent, as to take advantage of the weaker structure in that spot. we've done the calcuations: the capsule needs to be dropped exactly 60 feet above the ground, at exactly 240 mph, and at exactly 154 feet from the mountain wall. (OOC: that's the exact same specifications used in the dambusters raid )



We propose this idea to the other nations as a alternate solution to a nuclear strike.

You punch in the hole, we'll send our troops in through the hole. I don't like the idea of putting some of my best soldiers in what amounts to a gigantic tank round, and then firing said round into a block of solid ice.
