Well this is where everyone's knowledge on this issue comes into play.. stuff like this will enforce consistency, and not make you able to join any server with sv_consistency 1 on, such as TTP.
I know w_models aren't the only things enforced by consistency, last time I checked certain VMTs aren't allowed as well. (stuff that makes walls invisible, etc.)

Just remeber that custom skins and other custom stuff is walking that fine line between legit eye candy and cheating. Having a skin with cammo groves is much differnent than translucent wall model replacement, but it seems like you find both of those on the same kind of sites.

camo skins serve only to make the game harder on yourself, if the camo is well enough made. but, yeah, things like the "trainer" skins, or custom flashlights that can essentially serve as a custom crosshair, giving all of the snipers a crosshair when not aiming down the scope, are in no way legitimate modifications.

and, in DoD... there are rifle skins that alter the iron-sights... such as replacing them with red-dot aimpoints.

Serves the same purpose as coloring a little dot with a dry-erase marker on your monitor, which TONS of players do. I think if you're going to use skins that make things easier on you, you have no place here. The skins I use are fucking sweet looking- and that's it.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Any one got a scope skinning gui

Same they dont enchance my gameplay, well maybe the custom scope but I will get rid of it if any of the admins tell me to, as of such I have asked admins what they think and they can see nothing wrong with having a sqaure around a dot for a scope.

The reason for the sqaure is this is a calculated area for miss, it means if i line up the box with the head = headshot even if the dot isnt actually on his head.

I'm sorry if any of you think im haxing or whatever but what admin says goes

    Pure out...

Would having a hatchet as a knife be called hacking? =)

Happy New Year and other stuff.

Best wishes to all of you for 2008. I hope you all have a prosperous new year.

It's been a busy year for the Lurking Mastermind forums and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your efforts and ask that you continue them in to 2008. I've been very busy with my real life and with family stuff and I feel like I have been neglecting these forums a little bit. Today I make a commitment to change that and do my best to boost activity around here and bring you some new goodies too.

So, er, thanks again, and here are the stats for 2007:
