    Video Editing Software

I'm looking for some video editing software for personal use (such as making video reviews for games and such). The requirements of the software are:
    • Able to splice (cut apart) and join (add together) video clips.
    • Have some basic transition affects (like fade-to or something... nothing fancy at all).
    • Able to merge audio on-top of the existing audio, keeping both (but being able to do something like dim the existing audio).
If anyone can give any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Note: Windows movie maker is not adequate, as it does not work properly on Windows 7 without converting the raw .avi to something that's less than 300~ MB.

I use videostudio pro. Its a corel product. You can get it for 50 bucks or snag up the free trial. Used it for my blog game vids. Didn't use but the base functions on those vids tho

    Re: Video Editing Software

Hm. $50 seems very manageable. Although, I'm really not looking for anything fancy, if there's like a free-version of an application (that doesn't expire).

I've heard Wax - [ Homepage ] is pretty decent and fairly easy to use.

Sounds like what you're looking for and it's free.

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
