Thread: Server Population Decline.

Anyone else notice how relatively empty the server has been of late? What's the deal?



Not a lot of back-info, but even within the last 2 months or so we can see a startling trend towards lower server population.

Is this a BF3 issue in general? Have server populations been going down across the board? Is TPG having trouble getting people interested in teamplay on a server with no Voip?

I love BF3 on TPG and I want it to succeed in every way. What measures can we or should we undertake to improve server population?

Or, am I being a little hasty here? I honestly don't know. All I know is when BF3 came out I was sitting around 10-20 minutes every night trying to nab that 64th slot before someone else did, and now I am amazed if there's more than 45 people on at prime time.

I would play here all the time but friendly fire kill's it for me so to speak.

That's true but bf 3 gets too compact real fast and after a half dozen tk's I find myself looking elsewhere.

I don't know what the numbers look like overall for BF3, but I do know that while talking with Wile we noticed the same trend at TG. It could be that the players that want a CoD, kill everything that moves, clone are still playing, but I know many of the teamplaying crowd are extremely disappointed in the game already. Also, there have been other good game releases recently like SWTOR and Sky-rimjob.

True also but you can be tk'ed while trying to use them.

Yeah that makes sense I suppose. I guess the question is what we can do to turn the trend around?

I can deal with most of the other hardcore-ish aspects.
