Re: how to setup your mouse....
Nah, I've been doing what these videos suggest since I got competative in CSS about 5-6 years ago including keeping mouse precision off. I watched many hours of CSS professional player demos. For a while, I spent 45 to 60 min a night on muscle memory maps before going into a pub or
playing a match. It made a big difference. I went from being happy to have an even k/d to having a positive one most of the time.
I watch some team "complexity" matches back when they had Rambo and fRoD and realized that most of the pros played on huge mousepads with very low sensitivity. My sensitivity is much lower though than in these videos - side to side on a ss qck+ does less than a 360 for me. I think that is around 15+ inches wide. Reg sensitivity vs low is like the difference between threading a niddle and threading a wedding ring. Which could you do faster?
I'm really an average player. What gives me an edge is the low sensitivity, 0 mouse accel, and the muscle memory those allow me to develop.
An additional tip - make sure you have raw mouse input on in bf3 options.
Also, most mice have some positive or negative accel built in. Get one that does not! Stay away from lazer mice as most of those have negative
accel issues that become especially evident at lower sensitivities. I have tried microsoft intelipoint, logitech g500, death adder, ss iqari and one or two other mice I can't recall. I recommend and use Logitech g400, the new mx518 with no logitech drivers, just plugged it in.
If you want some more tips, look up "all in the wrist". It explains a lot.Last edited by MajorBrass; 01-21-12 at 02:23 AM.

I googled the info Brass mentioned and came up with this.

Re: how to setup your mouse....
If you are wondering how to do the muscle memory thing in bf3, watch xfactor's video again and pay attention to what he does on top of the carrier when he is snapping back and forth on the rock tips. You could go on any mAp, stand a little ways away from something square, then aim in the middle then to a corner, the middle and another corner and so on.
But I think it's most important to get a big mouse pad, lower sensitivity, and turn off mouse a accell first.
