Re: Worth getting?
RD if you like the battlefield series, but BF2 was too slow and glitchy, BC2 was too fast and small then you will love BF3. They took the combat from BC2 (Fast, fun, adaptable) and mixed it with the best ingrediants of BF2 (Large maps, 64 players, squads, Squad leaders, vehicle madness, crazy battles). Honestly the best online game that comes to mind since BF2. Is it a "true" Battlefield game? No it's missing another layer of strategy (commanders are not present and no inter-squad comms), and VOIP is awol (Fixed by Master Wile and the Teamspeak3 stuff). It's a worthy battle game that should've carried its own name rather that riding the name of battlefield X. Ironically if it was called Battlefield: Resurgence people would have loved it and not bitched and complained nearly as much about the extras they trimmed (To make a more viable game for the public in general). People like DGUSMC,Vexon,Gmg will bitch about this game and claim its the devil, but truthfully if you give this game a chance you'll realise the best part of any game isn't the game its the crowd you play with. And BF3 has a considerably larger crowd to play with than any of the currently hosted TPG games. Ultimately its your choice, its worth the $60 if you accept the VOIP system, which works flawlessly.
