Vanilla or HC, pick a side.

I would like to see us go back to custom settings. This server is all about teamplay and I see this not happening in either HC or Normal due to many not being in Teamspeak (Thanks EA). I would rather play a less populated server with most in Teamspeak and working as a team than a full server with a bunch of lonewolfs.

Allane said it previously that it's about knowing how many rounds it takes to make the kill... I have said this in the past and it's definitely true but you cant compensate for that when you calculate the correct amount and it turns out that some of them weren't registered...

Yet another point I've made before. If I see 6-7 hit markers from an AR, then die, one would expect, by virtue of simple arithmetic, to see the recipient of those 6-7 hits with less than 50%-60% health. However. That is rarely the case.

I am gonna pray for a miracle and hope to God that sometime in the near future Dice realizes that their server browser is horrid and changes it. Custom settings make the game so much more enjoyable. However if I were to pick between the two, I'd much rather play Hardcore. It has it's many downsides, but overall it enforces more team play and communication.

It's been awhile but was BF2 hardcore and if it was would it have made a difference then ? NO! What made the difference was a group of dedicated ADMINS that enforced teamplay! Game mode has nothing to do with teamplay it's purely a matter of personal preferences, I like coffee black others cream and sugar hell some don't like coffee at all! Preferences not Teamplay .

#1. Play with your team.

BF2 is an objective based, team-oriented game. It's a shame that so many servers are full of one-man hero's and the idea that the only time to play as a team is in a match. This server exists to end all of that. If you want to be a rogue, or you think you “play better alone", then go buy a single-player game, and go do that. On our server, you WILL play WITH your team, or you WILL be punished. Use your mic, follow the your squad leader and commander (or be the squad leader/commander), and get your objectives completed. Those in positions of leadership WILL BE subject to these same rules. If you, or the group of people you play with on our server are the kinds of people that disregard orders from commanders, deny assitance to those requesting it, or honestly just don't care about anyone else on the server but yourselves......you are in the wrong place, and will learn quickly that you are not only unwelcome, but prohibited from playing here.

We have issued more bans for non-teamplaying than we have for hacking or abusive conduct.

All we ask is that you play the game as it was designed: as a coordinated army of air, armor, and ground forces tasked with occupying and holding enemy territory. Note the emphasis on the word coordinated.

I'll agree HC encourages better teamwork no question there. That said, if we're talking about CUSTOM settings again, then I'm all in for that vote.

How so?

One can spawn on anyone in their squad in Vanilla....makes it nice when defending two flags at once (or arming two M-Coms at once), or when the SL has taken to the air for some armor/air-ho removal.

I agree with Festus, teamplay has more to do with the people than the game mode.
