Thread: [OFFICIAL] Which Mode Should TPG Run for the Battlefield 3 Server?

As you are no doubt aware, the administrators have been playing with the server settings for the past month to determine which mode brings in more traffic because our custom settings were just not bringing in the traffic. A lot of that had to deal with the technical limitations of the BF3 server browser that you folks really don't need to know. If you would like the full technical breakdown one can be explained, but it is out of the scope of this discussion.

We started this experiment about a month ago when we went to full hardcore mode. We left the server like that for 2 weeks to gauge interest and to evaluate its effect on our player base. After that 2 weeks had ended, WileECyte swapped the server to full on normal. We concluded the 2 week normal setting test last week and the BF3 admins voted on which settings they preferred and the those results will be taken into account when the highs make our final decision. However, the BF3 high admins decided that this was a major issue and warranted the input of the general BF3 community.

And so now, it falls to you. Joe Player of the Battlefield 3 TeamPlayer Gaming server. Which setting do you prefer? WileECyte was kind enough to create this breakdown of settings so everyone knows what goes into each setting. The custom setting was our original setting that we had been running prior to our testing.



So which mode do you prefer the most? Normal, Hardcore or, our Custom setting?

I stand by everything I've said in the past.

Hardcore mode is more fun.. I'd accept 80%health on custom.. I'll be voting hardcore since I suck and can actually stand a chance in hc.
