Didn't BF2 have 3 for-pay expansion/booster packs (Special Forces, Euro and Tanks Galore?)

It did, but outside SF, none of them were that popular from what I remember. SF was primarily popular because you got extra unlock for having it (It was also a great game, better then vanilla BF2 in my opinion).

So is TPG going to be running the new map pack or not?

I'm going to get is since I've got all kits now and just working on getting all the weapon unlocks. Still wondering if that is an AC-130 or just a transport in one of the future unlocks...

TPG doesn't host Expansions, unless they are free. B2K came with earlier editions of the game, so 99% had it. CQ is not that way.

we'll have to get all the expansion pack guys together to go to town on some pubserve.

The Gun Master game type looks fun.

So, what happens to the guns you unlock on an expansion pack when playing on a non-expansion pack server?

Like, if I'm running around with a SCAR-L on TPG do you guys see the gun? are you able to pick it up and use it if I drop it even if you don't have the unlock?

I assume that this upcoming or future patches will add the associated graphic.

I would assume it would be like any other unlock, especially if it is like previous BF games. So if you have the unlock you can use it on any map. If you die, and I pick up your kit, I should be able to use the items even if I have yet to unlock them. I know it works this way for the standard unlocks.

Wasn't sure I was going to get it, but since the premium pack comes with everything, new unlocks, new assignments, etc. I'll most likely just get that. I probably won't play any CQ maps since they aren't going to be on TPG, but the new unlocks will be nice. Armored Kill though nearly made me pee my pants with that last screenshot...Super excited about that. Even if none of the maps from any of the expansions every make it to TPG, at least I can have the new assignments and unlocks to use on TPG.
