Seeing as BF3 is entirely Web based for Server searches, Dice/EA could turn off BF3 Battlelog and screw everyone on multiplayer. Since we don't have access to a Full game and browser there's nothing you could do. Signed the Eula? It's in there.

    lol @ dumblundil.
I have a feeling that running it virtualized will be poopy if playable at all even on the highest spec Mac. Boot camp would probably work much better (since your mac is *poof* a PC in that case).

I am getting this game, and I don't think the Battlefield Franchise is becoming call of duty. In the past a game came out and was pretty much stagnant for its entire life cycle. Now, however with DLC it seems that a game is getting new content every few months. Not only that but it will probably be 2 years between BF4 and BF3, along with the fact that the last DLC for BF3 will be out for 6 months before BF4 at least.

Now I don't hate BF3, in fact I love it. The problems with the game are far outweighed by my enjoyment of the game. Would it be better with VOIP in game maybe, maybe not. Would it be better with a commander, only on TPG and no place else. So yeah, I am pre-ordering BF4 and when the premium for that comes out I will buy that too.

Premium was a good deal if you planed to buy all the content for BF3 anyway, especially if you have the vanilla version.

PS It seems ea is alternating between putting out a MoH game and a BF game sort of like alternating between Treyarch and Infinity Ward. I was never interested in MoH so I can safely ignore it.
I almost agree; I feel I got screwed by preordering my Limited Edition. I did end up getting premium because I want the DLC.
But... the rest I agree with.

That was the point - obviously Xav missed it. His comprehension must have been impeded by the "spinning beachball of doom"

    Ever notice the similar acronym?

Well I can´t say if it does or doesn´t work well running in Parallels...and neither can you, dumblundil

The game I flawlessly ran in Parallels was BF2...of course we´re talking about 2 different resource demands with each game.

But judging by the magnificence of a Macbook Pro Retina Display....it´ll run flawlessly, like everything it does.

LOL - just hope the glare from the "Frostbite" engine supernova sun doesn't blind you through your Retina display. Though though if the bestiality yerkin jerkin hasn't by now you're probably safe

Fixed that for you. Six man squads with VoIP at least.

Which is part of what makes TPG servers special, unique, and a hiome for people interested in team play. If TPG loses that identity then participation will suffer ... because aside from the community of friends, the servers would be like every other pub.

That´s what made BF2 so special. VoIP...it makes it that much more interactive. I´ve never ever had that much fun with any other game other than real life leapfrog with all of my friends.
