Close Quarters Perpetual Priming Thread

I have been looking at the CQ server the past 3 weeks and it is always empty. I am sure if this continues it will be shut down, so all of you who wanted it, me included need to start priming it. This server can be primed during the morning hours as well as the evening hours.

So When will you be on

I'll be on around 1pm CST today.

I guarantee it'll be switched to an Armored Fury server as soon as it's available.

I wouldn't guarantee that, because it's only a 16 player server and the Armored Fury maps are intended to be large scale engagements, not small close quarters battles. The fact that the CQ server has been very lowly populated since its creation isn't going to help the case for upgrading it to a larger player count or make Armored Fury available.

I gave up trying to prime the CQ server. Anytime the first server fills up and has a queue I still join Close Quarters but no one ever joins.

I wouldn't say it hurts its case for it becoming an Armored Fury server though, they shouldn't be compared seeing as how they are different game types. Who is to say people will not like the new AF game type just because they don't like the CQ game types?

If we could fill both nonstop then I might agree with you. So far on every BF server we have not been able to sustain a second server. From SF to CQ every one of them has been initially full then completely empty when people lose interest after a month or two.

But you both are looking at it from only one perspective. You are saying:

The 2nd server is empty because we don't have enough players to populate two servers.

Now I'm not saying that couldn't be the reason, I'm just saying that could NOT be the reason and if its the other reason I'm thinking of it should have no merit on if a AF server is setup to replace the CQ one.

And that is:

The 2nd server isn't populated with people because CQ is boring for TPG players.

That isn't to say AF could be more popular with TPG players.

That was all I was trying to convey.

I will be playing today i am obsessed with getting that L96 camo and CQ is great for sniper kills.

except very few people on TPG want to play small scale CQ maps... In fact, it seems like most people here are 'waiting for Armored Fury' to bring back that BF2 grand scale.

Of course when I plan on being somewhere at a certain time, EVERYONE want to have an emergency so I can't do what I planned to do. I wasn't able to play when I said I would be there.
