Armored Kill thoughts and findings?
So far I've played for maybe about an hour...
Tank killers are just hybrid apcs and MBTs. I would judge armor to last 1/2-2/3 as long as a regular tank. First two unlocks can be had within minutes of playing. With a properly loaded out crew and a few engineers manning repairs, this could be the new hard to kill vehicle in TPG. Consider a tank that can now dual with major_brass by having the rear two gunners bail and start repairing while the front two help SMAW him to death... mwahaha
AC130.. leading your shots is most of the battle. From a distance it's going to take some getting used to properly planning where to fire on targets. Only two seats. Both share flare deployment. You need to deploy them just before the missile warning if possible as they take a few to start deferring inbound missiles. Any rammer will be an instant kill for it. I landed a Venom on one and knocked it right out of the sky. A simple jet to the side has the same result. However two TV missiles barely made a dent in it.
Check you vehicle load outs if you have not already on first spawn. Most of mine were reset. Can't find laser painter on little bird loadout... no idea why. Also it is showing gunner seat settings for some reason, have not tested to see if this is a glitch or not yet.
4 wheelers spawn on just about all flags from what I have seen. Great way to get place to place...
If you bail from any air vehicle on some maps, prepare for 2 minutes of walking... the maps are huge and empty in some spots.
You could actually consider using the IR scope on one of the new maps...
Have not used the ATTY vehicle yet.
I was impressed with the two armored forces battling it out in the open areas of some of the maps. When the first wave meets from both sides it's pretty impressive and action packed.
Overall I give it a thumbs up!

Re: Armored Kill thoughts and findings?
Havent played it yet, although there is one thing I was worrying about while watching ps3 gameplay videos : I never seen one single vodnik/Jeep/buggy spawning on any flag, or even at the uncap, (only one ATV per flag) which would make it a pain in the ass to travel from flag to flag in you are actually playing in a squad. Is it still the case in the pc version?
I always wanted larger maps, but I assumed that if DICE was going to make some, they'll be intelligent enough to spawn a few 3 and 4 seaters on most flags, like they used to do in previous battlefield games

it's two people per 4x4 and several other buggies available. I saw plenty to work from in the uncaps, but more come available as you cap flags. If you catch it at the wrong time though and don't have any flags... you're going to be walking.

Re: Armored Kill thoughts and findings?
The tank destroyers are pretty fun. I feel like they're more vulnerable to infantry, since they don't have one dedicated gunner, but four slots for gunners. They're very fast, and if you catch a tank unaware, you can use that speed to get one or two shots into it before the tank driver even knows what's hitting him.
The gun ship isn't bad... It just gets shot down... Fast and often. Kinda annoying trying it out, but its like a freaking magnet for missiles and jets.
The little 3 seat buggies do tend to spawn at the flags, but in my experience, if everyone is blowing shit up, then you might have a bit of a walk.
