Yup.. stupid. Just do like me and use the FXAA injectors right now, it makes a huge difference; not as much, but looks much better with some sharpening and color. You won't get banned for FXAA injectors, I've been using them since beta as many others have.

They are saying the reason this is being banned is because it alters core game files or some such so it's much different. Either way, it's too bad DICE don't come out with some filters like other games that could be applied in options so we could have a nicer looking game and not a WASHED OUT, BLURRY MESS that looks good until you realize how much better it can look with FXAA or this mod.

Hmm... I"m usually all for saturation, but I think the original environment palette looks more gritty. The color mod looks more fairy tale like. I think they went with the right choice. Were this an ARPG, then perhaps not.

Gritty maybe from an extremely stylistic view point maybe but you are in the minority my friend. Everyone I know wishes they could do this to their game. I quote from one of the devs "It is to colorful". Lack of color isn't what makes a game like this one better. I am sorry but that is just disgusting for someone in an artistic industry to say and as an armature artist myself I feel offended.

To me... all the color hacks no matter the implementation should be banned. It gives an unfair advantage to those who use. Like it or not... DICE will be DICE and thus ain't Burger King so we can't have it our way. You only have to read the license agreement for BF3 to see that.

Indeed, the soldier will only stand out more in a more colorful settings. Beside gritty is the style these days. You can pretty much count on one hand how many colors were in games like killzone and gears of war.

but how do you know you can see a soldier better with this if you have never been able to play the game that way. I say those ideas are a load for the simple fact that seeing a soldier in this game is so basic and simple I really don't see how taking off the filter will help you. Lets be clear all this does is take off a filter placed there by the devs and that's it. It doesn't improve performance and it doesn't help you in any way. Now of course I don't know that for sure either because I have not played with my game this way (that much is obvious) but I see no reason why this would give you an edge.

Playing the game with FXAA injector doesn't make it any easier to target or see someone. We should have the option to play the game with different color palettes if we want. See Crysis and a number of other games with this built in. Banning people for adding color to the game? Wow.

I see it like this. Games are like art. You knew ahead of time what you were getting into as far as the art direction of the game went. If you don't find the art to your liking, then don't support the artist. Don't take it upon yourself, like the lady in Italy who 'fixed' the fresco of Jesus, and change their game. If they had wanted you to select the palette they would have given you the option.
