Maybe as a test before it's taken down make the AK server a clone of the other along with B2K and no other DLC and see if it gets more populated.

This whole only having vanilla maps thing is really looking like it may be a deal breaker for me.

I love the team play mentality around here but the map rotation is getting tiresome.

Understood. Hopefully you'll choose teamplay here over non teamplay elsewhere. And we really are disappointed that EA, in their infinite wisdom, chose to write their code to prohibit anyone from connecting to a server if their dlc version was less than that of the server's. However we would lose even more people who connect regularly that don't have the dlc. We've discussed this a number of times and it always boils down to how many we lose who don't have the dlc. Blame Canada, I mean EA for that decision based purely around forcing people to spend more money to play with their friends.

We tried just about every combination of settings, Normal/Hardcore vannila, vannila + CQ, or AM or B2K. The server simply dies. If you flip back in to previous threads you will see a number of graphs showing a flat line for population at weeks at a time.

Though I thought B2K was the one map pack that let random connects but I don't know the exact facts but we likely don't have it because we tried it and it failed.

Arma 3 is promising... Mod welcoming game makers make me fuzzy inside.
