I certainly hope so. I'm not quite sure I'd want a blow-off valve, a bypass should be quite enough and it doesn't make it sound silly, but maybe if/when I get some extra cash.
Now a boost controller sounds good, but I think I'll have to fiddle with the ECU first for it to be off much use, as it IIRC electronically cuts off boost at 0,85 bars even if you tried higher boost than the standard 0,6ish. I'll first see if I get enough grip as standard though. Figuring out how to install a boost gauge is higher priority when we get the swap done...

    Phail.

The engine did actually fit, but unfortunately all the tubing and the hydraulics pump didn't well enough, the margins were so small that it would have been lucky to last a few weeks, and this is my daily driver, so I can't afford that kind of reliability.

Now to plan B, moving that engine to a Finnish XM to avoid paying taxes and selling the BX. We have chosen a black one for the purpose and transfer to another XM should be a piece of cake, so hopefully I'll be driving it within a week or two (including repairs to ensure it will actually last).

Too bad a XM Turbo C.T. won't achieve as awesome acceleration as a BX TCT would no matter how much we up boost, but an extra 100hp shouldn't be a problem if I one day have the extra money for a better turbo (a Mitsubishi TD04 should be something to start with). :thoughtful:
Until that we just need to up boost and fuel insertion one way or another, or it will be beaten by every manual V6... id:

    Anyone in for donations?

EDIT: And yes, I really hope to be able to finish a similar project in the future, but it pretty much means adding steel to the front of the BX, so I'll need to both hook up with an excellent welder and get the permissions for it, which means lots of money.

As far as I know, it hasn't been done yet, which is why we didn't know that it didn't work out, and also why we decided to go for it, dumping a BX 16Valve or Xsara VTS engine and perhaps supercharging it is just too mundane, and following the example of those few insane (what else could you call goals of 300-400hp in a BX?) turboprojects with the 1,9L engines would have been way too expensive.

    EDIT:
Don't know if I've posted this before, but this video shows how an XM copes with the slalom test. I'm glad it isn't worse than the Scorpio...

Actually, it appears that not many people have heard of the new foreign policy the French are trying out. It seems almost the entire country supports this new policy of pre-emptive surrender.

Its a result of a long study of the after effects of being the only country to be occupied during the cola wars.

Re: K/D ratios and W/L ratios

Voted. I don't leave if my team gets raped I usually stay on and do everything I can to help my team the next round. The only time I do leave is if I get so frustrated that I can't even play anymore, but I do wait until the round ends and take a small break then come back later and start all over again with trying to change things.
