from the article:
EA launched an updated version of its 23-year old city-building game, SimCity.
Anyways maybe the stock tanking after he stepped down could mean good things, namely less focus on releasing 800 piles of crap to make maximum moniez! Granted it probably won't and just investors reacting to...react but still.Last edited by Red_Lizard2; 03-19-13 at 05:00 PM. Reason: failed math

Re: EA Origin hacked: Allows attackers to hijack PCs
When it's EA, any change is probably for the better. The cynic in me is pretty sure it will be business as usual, and they'll just use this asshole as a scapegoat.
Their problem is that all of their problems are self-made. Shitty business models supported by unfinished games that require connection to non-working equipment. It will be interesting to see if they promote from within, or bring in someone from another gaming company, or someone from outside the gaming industry. They have quite the hole to dig themselves out of, and business as usual will only get them more hole.

Hopefully someone from the outside, not sure what they got inside that gives much hope. Whoever it is has a ton of work to do, and needs to promote the head of EA Canada to run all of EA Sports shit (if they even have a position for that). EA Canada hasn't been perfect but they've done a better job fixing their franchises then EA Tiburon.
Also curious if DICE just needs the company to not be focused on maximum profit, or if they need to be gutted (maybe EA can pick up the former AA studio to join with DICE to make a good Battlefield 4/New Game *cough*)
