Interesting.... Might have to download BF2. Had good times with TPG players and BF2.

Suggestion though, I remember a time when regulars were asking to change the starting map from Oman to Karkand and unfortunately the regulars weren't heard. Hopefully this time we get heard and you never know. But this is my opinion and my opinion matters. =P

The game will have to be primed just like before. It'll take some time before people remember the server is up often enough to log in. We should probably create a TPG Meeting Room like we do with Left 4 Dead where we can spam announcements over Steam letting everyone know its up, if we haven't already. I'm not sure if BF2CC still works, but since I know a thing or two about it, I'm sure I can make it work. That will give us some control over the server without opening the back end up to non-high's, as well as dealing with the random asshat. Plus a kick is the only way to kill 2manno when he's in a jet, haha. I'll need to work with a high to get everything set up for it.

And while it may be a low pop for a while, we should probably consider going to the 64 man maps. Unless there is a significant resource issue, the maps are simply better to include all assets. Many of the 32 man maps won't have the air power, or are small enough that the air tends to dominate more than it should. I'm not expecting that we're gonna have a full 60 man server every time we turn it on, but if we can get 45 per team on a given night, I think that's a great start. Realistically, this will NEVER again be as big as it once was. But if we offer a competitive server, with good teamplay, then I think we'll have a solid base of players when it IS online.

We also need to make an "Advertisement" on our main page. I can make a sexy image if someone can put it up. Let me know.

Now, if I can only figure out why I'm getting PB kicked...

Understandable but aren't players there to play the game and not just make stunts while waiting? I rather play the game than waiting. Did the BF2 admins ever even tried to add Karkand as the first map for at least a week or 2? Maybe it could be tested like that. You won't know until you try it.

Just try it! It doesn't hurt anything to try it!!!

I forgot to mention, Obviously "Oman" didn't work as it took forever for the primers to get a real game going on. So again, why not try another map.
