Come on, you know that means, we all have to build cereal box helmets connected with string, sit in the same room (LAN party) and then we can talk to each other. Whoever gets the commander helmet...sheesh, that's a lot of string.

BFBC2 has VoIP, as does BF3. That does not mean they function as one might expect.

Not arguing, just asking as I'd like to be correctly informed. BF3 was said to have VOIP and it did. It was unfortunately external and not integrated within the game, on pc.

I don't have an issue with VOIP, as the Xbox version of BF3 has VOIP integrated. Do most of my shooting via controller now. Before you beat me with a stick for playing on console. I have the PC version as well, but was unable to keep a decent connection to the TPG server. The only reason for me to get the PC version was TPG. Not being able to play on TPG, I opted for the console version, which personally gives me a more entertainment like feeling to gaming.

Ok so let me get this straight here. Now that they have confirmed that everything you wanted in the last one will be in the new one you guys refuse to buy it because the last one didn't have any of the things you desperately wanted. That makes sense I guess.

A bit harsh but that is literally what some of you guys are saying in not so many words. Well at least to me.

They are being skeptical because DICE promised the same things in BF3 and didn't follow through. BF3 was supposed to have VOIP and it ended up being some piece of shit software that isn't even apart of the actual game. I'm optimistic like you Source. I have found many more confirmations that BF4 will have Voip, mostly from people who are at E3. Though it is still possible to get fucked and EA mothballs the Voip for release.

This is the biggest indicator of Voip for me. But could this be Commander view for a console? Who knows.

See but this time it is different. We can actually hold them accountable to their word now. They said it and they showed it which means they are bond by it. If you thought the shit storm over VOIP not being in BF3 PC was bad you better believe that this one will be off the scale if they don't deliver.

BFBC2 had VOIP. It just never fucking worked, nor did they put one ounce of effort into fixing it. They strung us along with BF3 saying they were considering integrated VOIP when they fully intended on never doing more than what they did. Until I can experience it with my own eyes and ears, I won't believe a fucking word out of the mouths of the EA marketing machine. You can put that in your pipe and smoke it.
