Thread: Do you have Premium?

Have it, but hardly ever go elsewhere.

After seeing this poll, I ask why have 64 player large maps? If everyone who voted played at the same time (premium or not), we'd barely fill the server in half.

If including premium maps removes us from the quick match list, then add some variety with different game modes. Make it fun for the dedicated primers to play. Start with an 8 player mode like squad rush. As it fills up, change it to 16 player squad death match or team death match. Progress to 24 player rush and finally stop at 32 player conquest.

This should in theory keep the server primed and full.

On a side note, it's not clear for those who intend on joining the server, that the game mode could potentially change. This is a must in my opinion. As it is now, the server is named "TeamPlayerGaming.com BF3 + TeamSpeak Sync Ranked", which informs us of the obvious. What is not obvious is the possible mode/player count change. Perhaps a name change would help retain new players. Something like "TeamPlayerGaming.com | Player Count Mode Change | TS Sync"

The problem you get with trying to integrate all those modes is that the minute you lose a person after a mode change, it flips back to the other mode... it makes things a little clunky.

That sucks! So if you have 17 players playing 24 player rush and you lose 2 players, it will revert to 16 player squad/team death match? Does the system wait for the round to be over? If it switches mid match that would definitely be clunky. Sorry for my ignorance on the matter.

Having multiple modes on servers seems to be common place. Being able to progressively change modes due to player count seems to be a good thing. If the server waits for the round to be over when we lose a couple of players, I don't see the server scaling down to a smaller mode to be a problem.

I for one would most likely not join a 32 player server with only 9 people in it, unless I'm joining with a group of people. At least not when there are plenty of servers with 20+ players playing.

Edit: If I were able to keep a decent connection to the TPG server, then of course I'd join even if there were no players in it.

We can have it change after the round is over, but the problem you run into is, it cycling back and forth between 2 play modes because people leaving at the end of the round.

Can you set it to not go back down until a few maps have passed?

Does this mean the map rotation starts over as well?

map rotations are randomized, each time they're loaded.

Is there a way to keep the map rotation linear and the game mode random? Random due to player count.
