Crazy lag with great ping?!

I have my custom pc with a wireless card in it on average i always have 56 ping in game , framerates that are in the high 80's and enabled everything port forwarded that has been suggested. Yet the past week and a half game play has been sporadic . Any suggestions or is there something wrong with the server. Thanks

I'm gonna guess that it's the wireless card. I had wireless internet for 2+ years, and it was horrible for gaming. A wired connection is nearly always better.

just with BF3 or all games? What time frame do you play in?

Next time its bad, go to pingtest.net and see if you have a lot of jitter.

I get a similar issue, although more apparent to other players, during peak hours on some days and I noticed that it is caused by high jitter. Ideal jitter is near zero.
