    just to clarify I hate the bf3 system because it's not constant. As soon we reach threshold variety goes out the window. So basically unless I prime always miss out on other game modes on tpg. I don't know if I'm only one who feels that way though.

    I am ignorant to the cost of server hosting so this might be moot but... could TPG host both a 64-conquest and 32-other mode server? It doesn't make sense to have it switch from 64 to 32 then 32 to 64. It would cut in half the server population randomly and then expand it. Although that might drive people so nutty that they all run out and pay for reserve slots.

    They pay by the slot. Technically a 32 mix server would run the 10 stock maps and would be able to offer 40 different variations on those 10 maps. Versus playing 64 man conquest large and that's all you get.

    The server would switch modes based on player population, not adjust player population based on mode. So for example when the server is priming, and there are less than say 28 people playing, then it would be on 32 player modes/maps. Once the server passes 28, or whatever number we specify, people it would swap to 64 player maps/modes. If late at night the server starts dwindling below 28 it would change back.

    Oh yeah I understood that. Ten gave a reason he didn't like that (as soon as it fills up he can't play the modes he wants.) I was making a comment on the suggestion that population wouldn't matter... it would just randomly swap between the modes and therefore between 32 and 64 man configurations. The only way I can see to do it is have two separate servers.

    For all we know the whole server swapping sizes could be why the server isn't as popular as it could be. I know I've heard some pubs complain about it while on the server.

    I'd personally prefer 32 player over 64 player.

    I exclusively play Conquest. It is the most teamplay oriented in my opinion. (I know, my opinion, I am sure not everyone agrees with that). I would want the server to be exclusively 64-Conquest if I had it my way. I also like Hardcore. Hopefully Harcore w/ the HP increase will be down the road.

    Might I suggest Domination as the priming game type of choice. It is perfect for a smaller population and you still have the basic premise of conquest objectives.
