Thread: Premature HC vs Normal Mode Feeler (BF4)

Since it was brought up here and there I'd like to know where TPG and it's members stand on the titled subject. I personally can't stand HC it creates imbalanced weapons due to fact that BF is balanced with normal mode in mind not HC. I could say a lot more on subject but it's mute point most people minds won't be changed either way. I know normal mode has its own problems (3D spotting and health regen) but at least for most part your not dealing with glaring weapon imbalance problems. Anyways poll away!!

Assuming that EA lets server owners customize their servers and still let them be searchable (or even quickmatch-able), we'll probably take the same hybrid approach we started BF3 with.

However, for all its faults, I bet Normal will be the beginning mode. I don't care which mode we're on since I can adapt in a match or two.

Custom would be nice.

Health/vehicle regen, 3D spotting are my only things against Normal Settings.

On the none settings side, it takes more than a mag to kill most people with my shit hit detection and packet loss on Normal.

Make the settings like BF2 was for the most part and it will be good.

Normal is real battlefield. We've all been infected by the CoDiness of hardcore.

Normal mode has the weapon balance piece down as Tenrou states, but the negatives are in order: No Friendly Fire (grenade/C4 spamming) , regenerating health, regenerating armor, 3D spotting, spawn on anyone, kill cam. )

Hardcore only has 1 negative... the decreased health. The rest of the settings I enjoy.

It'll come down to Normal vs Hardcore. Unless EA/DICE drastically change the way the server browser works for BF4... it just isn't viable to run custom rules. I'd prefer if we could run custom. I really enjoyed how we ran our custom server initially, but once the buzz wore off, it became very hard to fill the server. If EA makes the server browser more user friendly and better able to search for servers... We could run Hardcore minus the health decrease and it'd be perfect. That's what we ran in BF3 initially.
