Re: Your Specs, Settings and FPS

I run all my computers with the same settings, unless noted.
    -both antaliasing features turned off
    -motion blur at 0%
    -ambiant oclusion off
-newest nvidia driver 33x.xx something or other.

    Tragbar: (mini ITX desktop)
    i7-4770K @ stock
    16 GB DDR3 @ 2400mhz CL10
1x Nvidia Geforce Titan @ stock
    512GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD

Game runs at 1080P getting 90fps avg. Dips to 40 when the server lags, highs in the 150's. (Every setting at Ultra)

    Regen: (full tower desktop)
    i7-3770K @ 4.5ghz
    16 GB DDR3 @ 1600mhz CL9
1x Nvidia Geforce GTX 590 @ slightly over stock
2 TB caviar black WD HDD

Game runs at 1080P getting 50fps avg. Dips to 25fps. Highs near 80fps. (Every setting at Ultra)

    Hagel: (customized dell l521x laptop)
    i7-3612QM @ stock
    16 GB DDR3 @ 1600mhz CL9
    1x Nvidia GT 640M @ stock
    256GB Crucial M4 SSD

Game runs at 1080P getting 30fps avg. Dips to 5ish. Highs not much over 30. (Every setting on Low)

Suicidal AMD Machine: (mid tower desktop)
    Phenom II x6 1055T @ 4.5ghz
    8 GB DDR3 @ 1152mhz CL4 <very proud of that
1x Nvidia GTX 590 (borrowed from other computer)
    500GB WD old drive

Game runs at 1080P getting 40fps avg. Dips to 20's. Highes not much over 40. (Every setting on Ultra)
....note.... this computer has a lot of background tasks that run all the time... the cpu might have been utilized more by them than by the game.

That should give everyone an idea of some ranges. Those are all my systems, excluding the GF's computer, my brothers computer, and my old laptop server........ you don't wanna know what my power bill is like.....

    Hell yeah!

Went from an average of 30fps to 50fps. Its a lot more playable now even if the graphics look like shit. Ill take that as a workaround until I can upgrade some parts.

    Thanks for the link.

I am running 2 different systems but both are about equal

    Home System:
    Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
    AMD FX 8350 4.1 GHZ
    8GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical PC3 1600
    256 OCZ Vertex 4 SSD
    XFX 6950 2gb GPU
    Res @ 1080P

I am running everything at low settings and averaging 40FPS.

If I bump my Video settings to Medium or High then I lag.
Update, on my original post I had just replaced my CPU from a phenon II X 4 970 to the fx 8350. After a burn in over a 24 hour period my fps are lows @ 35-40 and highs @ 70-80 with an average around 50-60.

    Much better.

Re: Your Specs, Settings and FPS

    Gigabyte 990XA UD3 rev 3 (AMD 990X + SB950 Chipset)
    FX-8120 4.2GHz
    8Gb Kinston hyperx 1680MHz
Crossfire HD 7770 1Gb sapphire vapor-x GHz OC editions (core 1100MHz, mem 1300MHz) benchmark around the same as a stock HD 7950
    60Gb OCZ Vertex2 (Os), 500Gb storage drive
    Windows 8 pro x64

    I use these commands: GameTime.MaxVariableFps 59.94, RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1, RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0, in a User.cfg file placed in the Bf4 installation folder.

Day one I was struggling to get 20 fps, now I'm getting constant 50-60 fps (I cap fps at 59 fps as my tv is 60Hz), 1080p, textures on high, everything else on medium, no AA and no ambient occlusion. I gonna try upping the graphics settings a bit, although I think my 1Gb vram is holding me back. I was thinking of upgrading gpu straight away for Bf4 but I think I'm going to hold out until December and see what AMD Mantle offers.

good tips voodoo. I may try that too.

I do notice that in a tank I had moments of single digit fps compared to out of a tank where it never dipped that low.

Re: Your Specs, Settings and FPS

3 rds played. I could see myself enjoying this more than BF3. However even on low settings it's basically unplayable for me due to stutter. So it'll be a while (a long while probably) before I'll buy and play since I don't the money for a complete rebuild.

    Have fun folks.
