There is a difference from being able to enjoy a video game and having to ache through a simulator. ArmA3 is a simulator. I don't know about you, but I can't afford to put in the hours it takes to play a simulator anymore, compared to BF4 where a single map take 45 minutes or less. I don't play video games to sit around and play real life. I play video games to adventure through my imagination. Don't get me wrong, I think ArmA3 is a great game, but there is a lot more give then take. (Spend hours prepping, and only minutes in engagements) There is a point when a game is too realistic.

My question to those who think a game should come out perfect..
How exactly does a company prepare for a million connections from thousands of different client configurations?

Re: Be careful what you ask for...
Just to point out, it isn't always the games fault for crashing. It could be your video drivers or something else to that effect.
Comparing cars to PC games is crazy. Cars are built the same. That's why you buy the parts for your car for the year and model of your car. PC games would be like making a universal part that fits on all cars. You will have some crashes with it. You can't know everyone's configuration. I am sure it worked fine on their systems. I bet they had some bad ass systems. Now, throw in people trying to play with minimal specs and systems with thousands of different configurations. Lets say the QC team for EA/DICE is 300 people. They now have a QC team of millions to come up with issues they never would of thought about or had on their systems. People do some dumb shit in and on their PC's.

Re: Be careful what you ask for...
This is cracking me up. I am not mad at you guys for liking BF4 or for being patient in waiting on the bugs to be fixed. I am disappointed in EA and the product so far. It does seem however that some of you are mad because I am unhappy with EA which is comical. It's not like I called your mothers a bunch of whores. EA fucked me over on BFBC2 and BF3. So far with BF4 they have not stuck it in me yet but I can feel them walking up behind me.
I do enjoy the pace of the game I am just looking for more for $100+ dollars.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'm not mad at you, or anyone, for voicing their opinions. But that's the thing: this thread is filled with opinions. I feel the same over BFBC2 and BF3. I didn't think there was a chance in hell I would get into BF4. Now that I have I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. The bugs are frustrating but to me the core of the game is solid. What more are you looking for? What do you find is missing from the experience?
