    Tenrou,
My accuracy reflects shooting from long range as much as I possibly could. I never won close range battles(which is largely where I got any hits at all and made my accuracy as good as it is). I rarely fired from the hip. I just chose to try and hit targets from very long range. When close range isn't working, you try doing things differently.
Bottom line is the game is completely unenjoyable to me due to what seems is a severe inbalance of weaponry. One of the great things about BF2 and BF2142 was that even with a standard kit, most people had some success vs people who had unlocked every piece of equipment. Doesn't seem to be the case here. I am sorry, I cant chalk this one up to being a poor player, just a poor game.

What are your framerates and connection like? Not playing BF4 but either of those can ruin your aim in most FPS.

I don't think I have to point out the G36E and the Voss to tell you you're a bit misled. The AK-12 and U-100 are slow firing, stable weapons intended to get the player familiar with aiming carefully. The MX4 is honestly a terrible weapon to start people off with. If you can bear the MX4, when you unlock carbines and get the AK 5C, you'll start seeing how very, very good the AK 5C is and ditch the PDWs unless you have a niche need for it.

I won't say that there isn't a problem with the balance, but Battlefield 4 is much more in-tune with weapon balancing than Battlefield 3 was.

And I didn't want this thread to turn into a bunch of people getting on your back about weapon choice/skill. I respect your choice to leave, but at the same time I feel the frustration that comes with the new Battlefields is somewhat at fault. It's an entirely different game from the originals, take it or leave it.

I will also concur that you need to use a carbine. I switched from a PDW to the AK12 last night for engineer kit and it made a WORLD of difference. And you probably wont' find someone's stats worse. I spawn-die-spawn-die a TON and still love the game. If's definitely what BF3 should have been. I never even put 10 hours into BF3 the entire time it was out. But I see myself playing BF4 for years to come.

    My top two weapons:

As you can see it's the 1st carbine you get in the game and the 1st LMG. To say you can't be competitive with them is totally false. You can also see I have a lot of stuff unlocked but choose to use the starting weapons. Hell even if you go top 5 most those weapons can be unlocked within few hours of play. Sorry but you can make excuses or you can find solutions. If everyone was having the same experience as you there would be a problem. The fact is that this issue stems from the user not the game. I'm not trying be an ass but the notion that people can't play with basic weapons or that the gun mechanics are broken is just plan wrong. There are a lot issues with BF4 but this isn't one of them.

The other thing is that with TPG, you don't have to rack up kills to contribute. Be a teamplayer, support your squad and don't worry about getting kills all the time. Heck, get to lvl 10 and start commanding. Don't have to worry about shooting at all

Patches include weapon balances once the developers realize they made mistakes.

    Re: Officially done with BF4

I will say a few things. First off I just played a fee rounds on a buddies PC and the game was utterly different than what I am used to, smoother fights better VoIP and incredible increase in the ability to actually kill faster.

I like the fact this game is harder than bf3, I may have to revisit some of the techniques Tenrou taught me over a year back, my gameplay is very sloppy compared to when I actually tried and I find this game is allot less forgiving in that sense. Ask Tenrou or any good player to help you and you will see a significant increase in ability to play. When I first played with Tenrou in l4d2 he was not a great player. In bf3 at the start he was getting destroyed all the time. Then he spent the time learning the mechanics. Google frankieonpc on the YouTube he has a noobs guide to bf4 shooting its absolutely incredible.
Allane write that article or make a video showing the tricks etc. I never knew there was alloy of sub game and play like I did in bf3 and feel underwhelmed so far... Also I have been very tires whenever I play due to allot of work so there's always that...

    Re: Officially done with BF4

The problem with veterans trying to teach newbloods shooting basics is that they are second-nature to the veterans. I've been doing the techniques for so long that my muscles do all the remembering.

Pulling down on recoil is something that's very weapon specific, and so the only way to get good at it is to practice with them in the Test Range. Mastering the two shot burst is also something that I just do naturally at longer ranges. A proper optic and decent tracking is all that's needed to start the two shot burst.

It's just important to understand your weapon and your attachments. You cannot go into a fight with a reflex and expect to kill someone beyond 90 meters. Likewise, you're treading thin ice if you bring a PK-A 3.4x to a map like Operation Locker. There are of course ways to counteract the negatives of certain attachments, like bullpups using heavy barrels and 3.4x/4x optics, since they get a hip fire bonus, and the heavy barrel counteracts the innate accuracy penalty of bullpups.

I personally learned the hard way, and I took it on purpose. I always grabbed the worst weapon out there and challenged myself to make it work. I learned recoil reduction strategies and the two shot burst from those. Quick-snapping is something that's never easy, and I find myself unable to do it when I'm out of practice. The key is to play with a low sensitivity. Fine tune it so that you can make a 180 degree turn with a natural movement of your hand. There are only a few occasions where a 360 is necessary. Then it's practice, practice, practice. The Test Range continues to be a great place to get things down. Those fire barrels on the range have the same amount of health as a player, so shooting them at various ranges is great for getting a handle on recoil, "bounce" (which is specific to each weapon), time to kill, and bullets to kill.

... stay away from any place that has the word "AWP" in it!

... and Allane has a cheat that makes everyone else's hit box three times as large!
