No amount of minimap awareness will help you there. On the other hand. the idiot behind the trigger should have more situational awareness than just what he sees down the sights of his weapon.
Worse - I watched someone fumble a flashbang in a large group of friends... Oh the massacre - apparently peoples first reaction is to lay down the hammer on the trigger....

A few things... first, claymores and land mines explode for everyone who goes past them. So if I lay down some mines and a friendly tank drives over them, BOOM! I should be kicked for that?

As for "situational awareness". Locker has fire lanes and everyone is trying to throw grenades, launch rockets and put bullets down field. If it were wide open, I would agree but those areas are tight. 1 ahole jumps in front of you and you have a TK. For myself, when I got kicked from locker, I was scoped in and putting bullets down a hallway. A few people apparently can't see tracers and jumped into my bullet stream. This is my fault?

Also, friendly indicators for squad leaders are sometimes bugged and don't always show until you scope in. So I should be kicked because the game is buggy?

If you do these things once or twice, no. If you do this enough to kill EIGHT friendlies then yes.

I don't agree when it comes to claymores and mines. Those are stationary and visible. It's not like they can't see them and avoid them.

Stepping into someone's line of fire is another story entirely. You should be aware enough to NOT shoot your teammates. Sometimes that means you are going to die more often because someone is blocking your shot and the enemy gets himself a two-fer one special at the bullet bar and grill. But that's the way it bounces. Those types of TKs are avoidable enough that you shouldn't get 8 per round.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

I could argue this. Sometimes I run into a building, looking at my surroundings, not the ground. I'll admit I've been TK'd from a claymore about 3 times since playing BF4, so it should never be that big of a problem, but sometimes claymores blend in and you don't see them. A good claymore is one that is not easily seen by any. :P

    Re: The team Kill Kick

Last night on Locker. I had an established position at a corner looking down one of the long hallways. I was peaking and picking the enemy as they came into sight. Some jackass sets up shop behind me, long after I had established my position where I was, and just starts firing through me. He TKed me twice in about 2 minutes.

In this example, I had established position and was moving in and out of cover to fire. Who was the one in the wrong? Certainly not me. I had the forward position and was utilizing cover in between firing and reloading. The joker behind me comes in, sees nothing but points/kills and starts firing. Ignores that I'm even ahead of him and blatantly fires through me with a DMR.

Not always... and there's so much damn clutter on the HUD that it gets lost sometimes.

^This. I can't count how many times I've looked at my radar, only to get shot and killed by a person right in front of me. So my mentality is now to rarely look at my radar unless I have to, so my eyes are on the screen at all times. So running over claymores is unfortunately something I'm going to have to put up with, but it's rare. So I'm not all that worried about it. But for everyone else's sake, I keep a look out. Would hate for someone to get kicked/banned for me being a little clumsy.

You are shooting and then a team mate runs in front of your fire. Sure it was an accident but you still loose points. What I am trying to get at is that you, or whoever the hell is playing, needs to be aware about what is going on in your surroundings. The last thing I need is to baby sit a bunch of children who do not understand that there is something called a minimap and also something called "line of fire."
So you are one to lay in a doorway with one of the only ways to get to an area and blindly fire down said doorway when we are down flags?

Next time that map comes up, hold spawn and see how many people hold at their door at C and blindly fire and nade spam. Preventing the people that actually push the flag to take it, only to be shot in the back by some smacktard teammate putting RPGs or M320 down the hall.

Being TKed is my biggest frustration with this game. Even more so than my shitty internet. You get in an awesome position to flank 5-6 guys only to be TKed before you get a shot/nade off.
