Is Win8 supposed to help stability as well as increasing fps? I should be getting on that pony shortly...

I saw major fps gain and over all frame stability increase. Definitely worth doing.

Yea I think that is the only thing holding me back. I only have Win7 and even with a brand new rig and 660ti graphics card I have to run on ALL low settings. (~60 fps) Friends and family all have Win8 and don't have the stuttering problems I have.

I was talking about stability in the sense of minimizing (if not preventing) random crashes rather than graphics stability.

Can anyone attest to that?

I have had all sorts of graphic issues. Game is still playable just annoying stuff. I am pretty sure I have the latest video drivers but will double check

I always do a "custom" install with nVidia. Check the lower left "clean install" box, and uncheck the two 3D device (glasses) drivers.

Don't know if it makes a difference with B4, but it has on other games.

I don't have many random crashes. Once in a while though. Win 8.1 here.

Tough to say.
I had Win7 during the Beta and Win8 for the Retail. The problem is, I also had one of the ATI cards that were known to also be a problem, and drivers were being switched at the same time. I crashed between at least every other map during map load. Drivers and game patches helped quite a bit, but it would also make it tough to compare OS to OS, stability-wise.

I do like Win8, though. Throw Classic Shell over the top of it, and everything seems to run faster and better.

The game is optimized for Win8 in mind. I haven't had single crash since the last patch.
