Thread: Keep the teams even.

We where just playing and a lot of people left because of uneven teams. I asked for people to switch,none did. If your a long standing member, like BRASS, please be curtious and even things up. Its not always about your k/d and score.

The Fairfight option is supposed to do that but I think it only comes into play at the map change.

This is absolutely true. Sadly this is not the first time i've seen this. Coming from Source, it was common practice for regs to switch and balance the team when an admin was absent. I was extremely displeased and surprised to see this happen on TTP property.

I've seen it balance people during a map if it gets more than 2-3 difference.

Fairfight has nothing to do with team balance. It's an anti-cheat product.

The biggest problem of team balance is threefold. First, it only moves people when they die. Second, if people aren't dying they aren't getting moved. Third, all incoming new connections are funneled to the shorthanded team. Until the player's connection finishes, they don't show up on the team, and the server won't attempt to balance the teams. It just doesn't react quickly enough most times.

Too bad this isn't Source, and we don't have a fully functioning Ewok.
