I do this every time I play. Haven't had much luck though. I'll get TPG regs join my squad from this message and then no one talks.

Hardcore vs Normal vs Custom....that isn't the issue in my opinion. We have to start at square one and from my experience on the server, which isn't as many hours as some of you, I feel that we have skipped the basics that make the server a TPG hosted one from day one. That or people got bored of talking to themselves like I do when going from one random squad to another and trying to get people to use their mics who don't want to.

But yea if I join your squad go ahead and talk my ear off. Scream for all I care. Just be a teamplayer above all else...I feel like some have forgot what that means.

Must be someone else you are talking about because when I am in game I am usually talking about what is happening in game. You still have a pretty good point.

Me and Ten got up to some serious Teamplay and Communication last night, and I caught it all on tape. This is how I try and run my squads/be a squad member.

Ooh man I can't wait to see it. Maybe making videos and showing how it's really done will get the communication culture back

That's pat of my goal for making this vid.

1. I want to show people who might happen upon it what TPG is all about.

2. I want it to be a reminder to those who are a part of this forum/community how important and useful Communication is. Not too mention fun.

I agree with Blonde on this matter in that TPGers are seriously lacking in the Communication department. There were times in 2142 where the majority of the round I was talking and calling things out. Now, it seems like minutes go by without anyone saying anything, and then it's only to call out that someone got them. I'm as guilty as anyone in this department, and I blame all the BF games from BC2 onward for this, for not having intergrated voip. I got so used to only being able to communicate with TPGers and having them be teamplayers off the bat that I grew quiet and only placed orders. I had forgotten how much of a draw our communication is to the random connects. I'm trying to fix that now by being more like my 2142 self in this department, and I hope with this video that I'm going to make here that other TPGers will wake up and realize the game is 100x more fun when you talk on your mic.

coupla thoughts;

Could we add a "next map is" and "you team killed" messages to our server chat?
I've "heard" other servers have these messages and I think it would be awesome to add if we can.
