The worst part is that it teleports your crosshair when it happens. This is particularly annoying when you're lining up a shot on someone 100m away and they just start spraying in your direction and now you're lucky to land a hit at all.
And honestly with the LMGs, I've never used them for suppression. They either have recoil characteristics that are useful, or are insane when deployed (M249, MG4, I'm looking at you). I've only actively suppressed a player a handful of times - I find it more efficient to just hit them and kill them (stopping the suppression baits them out of cover)."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."

Re: Xfactor explaining the suppression optic sway
Yesterday I experienced an amazing round with my silenced sniper - I joined on Pote, was on B rooftop and went 10-0 before ground pounding, one of my most proudest assaulting sniper rounds ever to be frank. But it started with 3 guys camping a rock, they have LMGs and were firing like crazy - it was IMPOSSIBLE to hit them, I had to wait for them to stop firing at the guy near me, then wait some more, then while they were distracted by a tank I killed them. My point being there was NO counter for me as it wasn't possible to aim. DICE rants on and on about being a competitive game and fair but really those LMGS do TOO much Supression. I find myself peaked but in all reality I can still play better but now I'm capped on my skill by faulty physics and terrible netcode. I dont joke when I say it takes me 5-7 DMR rounds to kill someone mostly. Then other times like yesterday (I killed Surplus with a f2000) I'll panic hip fire as an enemy rushes at me - pin their feet but gets me a 1 shot headshot?! Not to mention a dude starts knifing me and I spam the LMB - suddenly for no reason it switches to my secondary (12G) and blows the knifer away mid animation (I even said in chat - wow you got robbed) then Wile comes at my front and I unload the rest of the shotty no hit markers, he then knifes me (no counter is available for me now on a front knife?) Sigh. Only reason I complain is because I love the game, and want it to be awesome but they didn't focus on the core which is gunplay and strategy and thats becoming more and more apparent after hours of gameplay. I have 383Hrs in BF3. 180Hrs in BF4. I will be genuinely shocked if my hours go over 300 on BF4...

I had about 8 hours in bf3... and closing in on 200 in bf4. To each his own.
And I like suppression. I think it's a good mechanic that should stay in game.ZoranDaWicked liked this post

I like the suppression mechanic in BF4 more than the horrible suppression mechanic in BF3. The biggest help I've found with the BF4 suppression is to completely disable motion blur. You can't do it within the GUI but can via a user.cfg file. (Just place it in your BF4 installation directory)
WorldRender.MotionBlurEnable 0
WorldRender.MotionBlurQuality 0
WorldRender.MotionBlurMaxSampleCount 0

Re: Xfactor explaining the suppression optic sway
IMHO motion blur shouldnt be able to be disabled takes some of the effect out of suppression and think of it this way if you got a number of bullets flying at /over your head are you gonna aim straight ? im pretty sure youd be saying something the lines of oh fuck oh fuck while trying to concentrate on aiming
maybe if theres someone here whos actually been under gunfire they can correct me if i'm wrong
