Re: BF4 Update Today
It doesn't seem to effect the upload at all but going from none to high seems to have almost doubled the data uploaded.
None:
Average: 8-12kbs
Peak:15-16kbs
High:
Average: 15-19kbs
Peak:23-25kbs
So it's close to double the network strain.

Re: BF4 Update Today
So if you didn't notice it they made a video of the differences. It is a little false advertising to me just a bit because both players had a stable ping of 50. How many times has the happened in the history of forever where everyone has a ping of 50 on a server. But I would be remiss to not point out there has been a measurable improvement.

Re: BF4 Update Today
Here's my beef - I found it worked better than before, then people started going into the high speed bubbles... I'm back to where I was before. Except I don't die as much behind walls. I will say people with higher ping don't have an advantage, in fact it's the opposite. I can tell when someone has a lower ping, I'm clearly getting the drop on people and they kill me regardless. I've sat in TeamSpeak and been outraged at Allane, calling him out on some absolutely bullshit kill, and he'd be like "I was facing you, not turned away as you saw". This update has made the game minutely better for me, as now instadeath is back as my pc is constantly catching up.
