    Yep. My point was I work Fucking hard to be as good as I am on a high ping shitty internet, I don't have some advantage as some people think. Put me on 30-50 ping for a week and I know people will start getting mad at me... I know this based on Lan games

    Haha I did warn you about the isntadeaths Max

    Its probably worth mentioning Bf4 servers suffer from degradation over a relatively small amount of time (hours and day(s) rather than weeks) leading to all kinds of issues.

    t1gge (DICE dev/ CTE producer) said on CTE battlelog:

    We are hunting what I'd like to call "server degradation". It seems that every time we restart (and patch) the servers you guys like the feeling of the game - but then slowly but steadily we see you thinking something is off or wrong (normally after the full weekend).

    This in combination with the performance graphs we have points towards the server being naughty and starting to mess with the gameplay through some leak or other performance issue (not causing rubberbanding, but interfering with the gameplay).

    We're now restarting the servers (without changing anything), and I'd like you to give me "clean slate" feedback on the feeling before & after this restart to prove a hunch - and get us closer to fixing & finding the issue.

    t1gge "It seems pretty clear that over time improvements degrade and the gameplay suffers - slowly making things worse. This of course makes testing a bit harder, but rest assured we are going after this one! "

    t1gge "What we've seen now is both memory _and_ processing usage goes up slowly over time, and at some point start affecting gameplay negatively."

    I don't know how often the TPG server gets restarted, but maybe it should be once a day (while its empty) to ensure optimal performance.

    TPG servers are automatically restarted around 6-7 AM daily.

    Thats good to know loki... So what causes the rubberbanding, surely the "degradation" can't happen that quickly (within 24 hours), can it?

    Depending on the nature of the leak(s), 24 hours could be plenty of time for a server to cause mayhem, especially if the computational complexity compounds over time. It's an interesting problem, I'm curious to see what they find and how they fix it
