Thread: Gameplay Critiques Idea

Maximus Boomus Gameplay Critique - YouTube

So I did this for Maximus Boomus and he likes the idea and appreciated the feedback, but I have no video editing skills so while this video is great for him, it's not an entertaining watch for anyone else. So, I have two questions:

1. Are gameplay critiques something you guys would be interested in? I'm not doing this to sound superior or anything, I just want to help people identify holes in their game if they care enough about it.

2. Are there any good video editors out there who would be willing to cut and splice footage for me? I can do basic stuff, but nothing like I've seen good video editors do.

I'd like to add to this too as someone who requested this to start with (so you know Allane was asked and didn't just decide to do this!), and sat down watched the video with the intent on learning... After watching this video I've altered some game play, I'll record some new footage and see if Allane will critique the game play again, with me applying the critiques from earlier..

My problem is that not that I don't know what I did was wrong because I almost instantly know most of the time but rather recognizing it was the wrong thing to do in the heat of the moment lol. I am to slow to respond to certain things at times then I get frustrated with myself and then I play shitty lol. So you could say that I am critical of myself a little too much you know. I like the idea though so keep it up and if you could use a hand from other perspectives like mine I would be glad to help.

Record some video for Allane to review, he may spot other things that you need to be aware of (I didn't realize my aiming was too twitchy, I've adjusted sensitivity).

Good idea, and good job on the video critique. As I was watching the video I realized I make some of the same mistakes, even though everything you pointed out I know already. I definitely need to adjust some bad habits, and simply being aware helps a lot.

Good stuff. I especially liked that two of those kills were me.

I might get his perspective but I don't think there would be much I wouldn't have already told myself before.
