Classic mode now official

I'd be willing to try it, especially if there is a Chicago server in the mix. The only thing preventing me from playing on TPG every night is my buddies not getting good connection to the Texas server (I personally get a good connection though so no complaints here.)

I really interested to see how the games balance will work with classic mode. I have a feeling Littlebirds will be OP as fuck with repair dudes, attack helicopters will be worse, and flying a jet will be a little more difficult in some aspects, but easier in others. I am willing to try it out though.

Infantry play should work out quite nicely though. I always thought the squad leader position lacked a lot of importance with squad members being able to spawn anywhere. It is probably the easiest way to enforce teamplay though the player base too. Makes spawning green pretty clear. And if TPG acts quick and tries out a Classic Mode server for a bit, might as well do it soon while there is no competition (look at the server browser for an idea.)

Two servers is doomed to failure IMHO. I wouldn't do it however if the decision is made that we will open a new server I will do all I can to support it's growth.

The one thing that bothers me is the friendly fire on that was a real pain in the ass to police. If we go there the auto kick should be a bit lenient at first with stringent enforcement for intentional TK's . I would prime either one that required it. Does anyone know if the no third person applies to all vehicles ?

More than likely. I have yet to see anything excluded.
