Part of it is just due to the fact that big, open maps suited for BF2's gunplay aren't really suited for BF4. In that case it's no so much DICE raping the maps, it's rather DICE not making the proper adjustments to make em' suitable for a game where the weapons are substancially more accurate, and where the max draw distance radius isn't a fifth of the entire map's length. But yes, I'll give you that shrinking karkand and still sticking with the idea of no spawn rape is retarded.
Anyway, concerning what I was asking, looking at Gameservers.com I do not see the ability to rent servers with higher frequency tickrate. My guess is that the intent of those implementations was just to provide the backbone for the next patch at the end of Fall. Still would love to know what high admins know (or don't, probably) on the matter. If they aren't aware of anything on the subject, it probably means it's not happening. you have to "purchase" the expansion on origin. It's free but it's a separate download/install.

To answer my own question, I had to actually purchase the DLC pack (For free) from the Origin store and DL it that way.

There are no such options yet. Not on Gameservers, NFO, or Hypernia (especially not Hypernia....lol). Those are the biggest 3...well....2, so if they don't have them, nobody does. Maybe on the next patch, but even then I doubt it. I can see that causing all sorts of headaches among the server providers (NFO, Gameservers, ect). I'll believe it when I see it.

About as many headaches for DICE LA who've been working on it since before the Spring Patch. You'd think that if they'd commit to spend that much time and resources into higher frequency tickrate netcoding, they'd make sure of the practical feasibility with big server providers. Considering that so few people seem to care (or even know) about what they've been doing with 60 and 120hz servers on CTE, they could have just dropped the idea and doubled the effort on the shit the masses care about more, like the night and community maps. That would have been a much more effective way to rebuilt their reputation, which is the whole point of this whole CTE/free content updates thing they've been doing, the game was such a mess for such a long time it completely shattered their image.
They seem committed to it. I don't think they'd be still working on it 4-5 months after the first CTE high frequency update if there was even a small chance that all servers providers wouldn't support them. But yeh, it's gonna be wait and see. Again.
