Thread: HELP i want to play with you guys

ok i really enjoyed BF2 for xbox and so i got it for my pc. i like the ttp servers for css so i want to get to know some of the bf2 players. anyways i just got the game today and tried to load into the server and it says i dont have the same mod...i assumed maybe a new patch was out so im over at ea downloading it...any other ideas..or know of something i need to get to join the server. also a newb question, do i need to download maps or do they do it automatically like cs? help me get started

You need the latest patch and that is it other than a mic. Maps are not down loaded so nothing to do there.

In all seriousness, the newest patch IS 1.41, and download that should be all you need.

ok i installed the patch and tried to join and it says i dont have the mod this server has? what now

make sure youre joining this 74.52.161.162:16568 instead of this 74.52.41.162:16569...maybe even check off "same mod" in the filter list on the bottom.
