As WE ALL KNOW it is not just me who is having this problem and I am not prepared to accept that my ISP is to blame. Please can anyone who reads this do the following:

Click Start
Click Run
Type "cmd.exe" and hit enter.
Type "tracert azhforum.co.uk" and hit enter.
Let the program run and then copy and paste the results into a PM to send to me. This will ensure any private data is only seen by me. The host has admitted there is an issue. I am not going to accept that the issue is just at my end. Even if only three people do this and send me the info along with their location in the world and their ISP, we will have enough information to prove it is not an ISP problem.

Who was it who said, "help me to help you. Help me to help you." I forget, whatever, send me the data.

AzHness, I don't know if you know this already, but the lag is most likely congestion on your server. The pages load nice and fast once they start loading, which means we're all probably stuck waiting in a queue on the server for five second before getting served (uh, in the non-pwned sense of the word).

Another alternative is a heavy query load, but I get the impression that disabling the plugins didn't do much good. vBulletin is already query-heavy without plugins, so adding an extra few won't make much difference.

If you have access to the shell on your server, go into it and run the following command:

root@localhost [/]# free

That should tell you how much memory there is and how much is being used. If it's almost bursting to the brim, then the server is overloaded and you got a bad deal.

You might also want to consider page caching - search vBulletin.org.

im not sure this new host likes me very much. i cant upload pictures, i cant use the arcade. there were a couple other things too, i just cant remember them. i keep on getting the error 404: page not found
