without our reservists, we would be nothing. $5 doesn't sound like much....but as you can see, the reservist forum is up to 4 pages now.

That's 100's of reservists, giving TTP the freedom it needs to provide ANY game, ANY time.

Really......stop and think about it. How much time do you spend a night looking for a server, or waiting to get into a server you like? If you play with a buddy (as all gamers should), then you essentially make finding a server 2X as difficult, since you both have to get in, get on the same team, and not get kicked or get disconnected....which happens a lot when you aren't a reservist.

I'd say 90%+ of all our reservists renew......and since it's paypal automated, they probably don't even think about it.

and that's the point.......now it's "i'm going to play 2142 for 2 hours" and actually get to do it....rather than have an unfortunate series of events which makes you only get to play about 30 minutes of that 2 hour period due to stupid disconnects, reserve slot kicks, full servers....or your buddy having any of those same issues.

TTP isn't really begging for the money........we're more begging for the dedicated and responsbile, teamplay loving regulars that being a reservist requires.

The more of you there are, the less work the admins have to do, and the better game play is on the server (which means more people get addicted to TTP, meaning more reservists, more more more).

So long as people want to play CSS, DoDS, 2142, BF2, and now...ArmA...soon TFCII....maybe crysis.....maybe quake wars...who knows.....we will keep these games running, staffed by the best admins we can find or make, and populated by true deal, 100% no-bullshit, 100% no-attitude, 100% teamplay 100% of the time.

..................truthfully, that's why it was all created. Just so when me and sjt and hub and biggD and wolf wanted to play some fucking counterstrike (making it 5X harder to do since there were 5 of trying to get together) we didn't have to spend half the time finding an open server that was PLAYABLE and not full of bullshit rules, admins, and players.

We made TTP for the same reasons you should be a reservist. We got tired of wasting our time when we should be gaming, and we realized it was WORTH THE COST.

Lucky for you, it only costs $5. For some of us, it costs more.....but with every reservist and voluntary donation we get (and sometimes, we get big ones.....$100 ones.....) the burden on us all is lifted. Gone are the days where me, sjt, and the true dreamers we putting up $100+ a month to keep it alive. Now......instead of putting in money, it's about putting in time and effort to make sure we are populated by those who agree with the core ideals....the founding principles of TTP.

And those principles are.......

WHEN I COME HOME AND HAVE 2 HOURS TO PLAY, I WANT TO SPEND THAT ENTIRE 2 HOURS ACTUALLY PLAYING WITH PEOPLE THAT WORK TOGETHER, AREN'T PIECES OF SHIT, AND GIVE A DAMN ABOUT PLAYING THE GAME AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED.

technically speaking....hub would be the father of it all, since he's the one that pressed me and sjt, over a big combo and nacho's chico at Taqueria Cancun on Gessner, to bite the bullet and realize.....we're never going to be happy until we either find people that can do it better than we know we can (and have now proven we can).
