Commander mishaps
i just want to see and try to learn from your guys mistakes as commander to i dont have to find out on my own
one problem i have when i am commander is that, i see a bunch of people (enemy) at a flag trying to take it, and naturaly no one is around so i pop an artilery strike as soon as the shells start back to earth my whole team is moving in that area (**and most of the time the people i tk like that are not in squads, also the few idots that are squad leader run in too, after i have made my intentions clear, very clear after i see'em rollin in**) and yes i do have a mic, but i guess half the people dont know what the giant red circles with a big gun in the middle mean...
just a rant, and a plea for knowledge

Re: Commander mishaps
The thing about Arty is you have to plan ahead. It takes around 20 seconds for arty to actually hit. So when your looking at the battle field your going to have to be ahead of the battle or predict the movements of whom your going to arty.
As for the members running into the arty, Since you have a Mic you can inform squads that artillery is about to rain down and to avoid the area. If they are dumb enough to run into at that point, its not your fault anymore. Thats why Commanders do not get punished for team kills and they are also not recorded.
On a side note if you do have some good squads rolling on the map, its best to ask them if they want artillery on their position. Sometimes the squad can take the flag without help.

Re: Commander mishaps
Well its all about timing. You need to learn the battlefield were people most likely move and how you think battlefield is shifting. That all comes with time so keep working at it. For now just use your mic to warn all the squads were artillery will be landing shortly
Also if you really want to be save type in team chat artillery landing.... "Here".

Re: Commander mishaps
i do plan it with the half witted squads, but then the unassigned ppl run in...
and i know the battlefield is always shifting i have no problem with that, but it kinda gets me when you have a full room and 7 squads and no one is talking, i ask and ask but no one has requests so i do things at free will, and they dont listen... like i said just a rant!

Re: Commander mishaps
considering that theres a big flashing artillery icon on their maps when its firing, then its their own fault for running into it...
as for then enemy, as already noted, its just about timing, since there's that delay so you have to try and anticipate where the enemy will be 15-20 seconds beforehand.
