They may not have it the moment they become a squad leader, but with as quck as field upgrades come on this server they can take it 2 minutes later. The regulars are making the squad leader successful, so he will have it very shortly. Besides, its more pretty shiny badges (i.e. points) for him/her to deploy it quick like.
Or they can take it off my dead body. I always pack a SLB. You never know when your squad leader is going to get disconnected from the server for not following orders, not being a reservist, not paying his ISP bill.

Opinions on a mobile phone deal, plzkthx.
I currently have an old Sony Ericsson k800i, and whilst I love the phone and it's served me well for over 2 years, it's reaching the end of it's lifespan. I dropped it today, and whilst it still works, there's a distinct 'bend' in it.
So I'm looking to get a new one. I'm not interested in any overly flash handsets, I want something that is vaguely functional (ie I can call and text people), and is moderately resistant to the various unpleasant things a 4 year old can do to it.
The deal I'm currently looking at:
Handset: Samsung U800 Silver
Network: O2
Minutes: 600 free any network
Texts: Unlimited
Duration: 24 Months
Cost p/m: £30
Not a great deal on the face of it, but here's the kicker: I get a free PS3, free insurance and the handset is unlocked, so I can sell it should I want to (The U800 silver is currently fetching about £80 on ebay).
Now I don't desperately want a PS3, but bearing in mind that 600 mins and unlimited texts is about £25p/m on most networks, for the extra £5 a month, I can have a PS3. My current contract doesn't expire until July, but I'm really considering taking this deal now, as I'm only paying £12.50p/m on my current deal.
Opinions, guys?

You get a free PS3?! Sold. Jeez...even when I was on the 'I don't give a shit bout no PS3' bandwagon before I got my own...to get one along with my service plan? Hell yes.
I'm not too much of a phone buff, so I agree that you get something basic and functional....I always buy into the latest hype and it always sucks...Bought the RAZOR when it was new for like 149 or some such, only to watch it plummet to about...well...I think they were giving them away in happy meals for a while; and then later I bought Verizon's Voyager with promise of internet use, TV, and more....lol to that. Waste of money.
I'm not terribly good with currency conversion, but I think that 30 pounds is roughly 50-60USD, so while that might not be the lowest in town (US deals I think start at about 40 per month), come on, a PS3. You could be on my friends list!

At current exchange rates, £30pm is about $41pm - The more I look at this deal, the more it seems to make sense. I think it's because I hate financially committing myself to something for 2 years. It's stupid, because I know I need a new phone, and most of the deals now are 18 months minimum. I just seem to be hesitating for some reason, despite the fact I'd be telling anyone else to jump at the deal.
