Is it me or is the voss LAR just way over the top on killing power...

I've had people I swear come around a corner run past me I start in with the Baur on thier back, they whip around and 2 shot me!

Even had them out damage me from long range....always thought it was more of a closer combat than the Baur...

Somethings fishy here....I may just have to get it unlocked I guess.

There have been a few Voss vs. Bauer threads in the past. Basically, what it tends to come down to is that the Voss is better in close combat (on full auto), but is also quite accurate at range when set to single-shot mode. The Bauer, on the other hand, hurts like a bitch, and can easily be used as a sniper weapon. However, you can get away with spraying the Voss at close range, whereas the Bauer on full auto is basically like throwing your ammunition at the person and hoping that you'll hit them in the eye. Just doesn't work.

Oh, and headshots with the Bauer hurt even more! It's difficult to train yourself to go for headshots, but very rewarding.

yeah. The baur does damage like the weapon sounds.

The voss is very easy to use however, and for the assault who runs into battle heedlessly, this weapon is ideal. It's definitely something to look at when unlocking weapons.

Though really, i find the Krylov more annoying than the voss.

Baru is the professionals choice, Krylov is the apprentice choice, and the Voss is the Blackhawk choice.

All the machines guns except the EU SCAR are equal in my eyes.

The Baur has excellent damage and range, spraying up close does in fact work very well. 78 damage for a headshot on heavy armor, 33 in the leg, 25 in the torso.

I don't know numbers on the other guns, i prefer the Baur myself.

Voss is great in closed spaces, but takes ages to reload, isn't that great at longer range, and doesn't have a lot of stopping power.

Baur is king 1v1, because it has enough bullets to stop one person no problem. You can take out one person at short range, maybe a second with luck, then you have to reload, but those bullets hurt, and it has high accuracy at long range. Plus it looks sleek and bitchin, instead of short and fugly like the voss.

And the non-unlocked weapons both suck.

I can kill 3-4 with the voss before reload.

I can snipe with the voss with a 2-3 shot burst and have killed in less time than it takes to 2 shot kill that same person with the sniper rifle. Those of you who go prone and I target long range with the voss are the easiest to kill.

Accuracy on the voss is spot on. The baur...hell, I have gone up against a baur and pulled a Michael Jackson - moon walk, spin, jump, kick and never been grazed! All the while reloading to finish with a knee plant and cut the "baur guy" in half.

If I ever get my pack exchanged for someone using the unlock assualt weapons I just change to my knife....bout the same difference.

I love my Baur.
Unless I am playing the medic role, I get both the shotgun and the rockets for it.
Voss up close is nothing compared to my shotgun
Rockets leave you with nowhere to hide....
