Thread: Hello!!

Hello, my name is VagrantToad. I've really enjoyed playing on this server the last couple of days and decided to drop by the forums. Its nice playing with a bunch of skilled players that work together. I love talking about BF2142 and hopefully I can add something to the community. See you in the game!

Heeeeey. You know what? With the Vagrant as part of your name, you should probably consider joining up with the Hobos. Seems like a natural fit.

Check the forums out, a ton of good information around here. Check the stickes and boxes on either side of the main window as well. You will find the BattleField Hobos is a resident clan if you're interested in that.

Good thing about reading all the info around here, you can definitely find who the regulars are and what squads to jump in with real fast.

Actually I think I got it working. Usually I play with my headphones, but the right speaker went out. Now I should have it set up so sound comes from my speakers but I use the mic on my headphones.

We've got some thread going around here right now dealing with exactly that. It might be in the PC Hardware forums or something.

Personally, I am setup using a seperate microphone and a speaker set that has a headphone jack. I can use whatever headset I like and can move the mic out of the way when I'm not needing it.

Of course, be warned, as soon as I find you have working voice comms, I am going to push/help you be a squad leader. It's good for you. Puts hair on your chest. Gets you more shiny badges too.

Nah, I like BD just fine. They are closer to my own age. What is the average age of the hobos? 22?

I just figured a vagrant would be automatically given a pass to join the hobos. Unlike some of those other names I've seen, Hobokiller and something like Hobomaster or somesuch.
